First OpenSolaris Developer Conference
The German Unix User Group organizes the first OpenSolaris
Developer Conference, a worldwide technical conference for developers
and enthusiasts of OpenSolaris. It will take place in
Germany's capital at the (Attention, new location: )
Freie Universität Berlin from
February 27 to March 2, 2007.
Topics discussed at the OpenSolaris Developer Conference are Solaris
kernel, driver and application development and related areas, such as
networking, development tools, application debugging, performance tuning,
file systems, distributions, etc.. The conference is targeted at community
members, interested in development topics and discussions about fresh
ideas in OpenSolaris. Meet Sun engineering staff members, distinguished
engineers and other well known OpenSolaris contributors.
The OpenSolaris Developer Conference has two parts:
Confirmed Speakers:
- Simon Phipps (keynote)
- Roy Fielding (keynote)
- Jim Grisanzio (closing session)
- Half and full day tutorials will be held from February 27 to 28.
These tutorials will be given by OpenSolaris developers who can meet
their peers and work together on new versions of their software, do
interoperability tests and discuss their projects.
- On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1st and 2nd, a two-day technical
conference will bring together developers and users of OpenSolaris
software. In the evening a social event will take place.
